Arrival day in Rio de Janeiro! A driver will be waiting for you at the international airport of Rio de Janeiro and bring you to your hotel. (Guide not included) If you arrive before dark, it will be possible see Rio de Janeiroâ€™s green hills, blue sky, rocky mountains, palm trees on both side of beautiful bays. By day or night you can walk at famous black-and-white tiled promenade of Copacabana, Leblon, Ipanema. Maybe you will want to see and feel the lush life of the city during the night, or if you want to be alone with yourself, then, there is always a corner somewhere in between the palm trees, sand and ocean waves.
After breakfast you will be picked up at your hotel and start a half-day SIB excursion to the Sugar Loaf by bus with an English speaking guide. The first stop is on Urca Mountain, with a wide viewing area, where you can eat in the restaurant or bar. On the mountain of Sugar Loaf you will have a beautiful view of Rio, Copacabana beach, the bay, the surrounding mountains, islands in the ocean, bridge Niteroi, and the statue of Christ on Corcovado Mountain. Then you will go by bus to the central regions of the old Rio, where you will admire several old churches, monasteries, the main cathedral of the city, as well as buildings built in the colonial style.
We recommend you to have a good rest and prepare for the Champions parade. Tonight you are going to see a fantastic thing - the long-waited-for Champions parade with Rioâ€™s best six Samba Schools who won some days earlier the Carnival parade on Sambadrome! You will be transferred from your hotel to the Sambadrome. You will see the representatives of the best Samba Schools of Brazil dancing and singing in front of you in their marvelous colorful costumes. During the whole night you can enjoy this mind-blowing show! You can get taken back to your hotel any hour you want.
After having breakfast at your hotel, you will get picked up for your group tour to Corcovado and Christ the Redeemer Statue with an English speaking Guide (4 hours). First stop: the station, where the environmentally friendly train will take you through the jungle to the top of Corcovado. On either side of the railway you will have spectacular views from Tijuca forest, inhabited by monkeys and other exotic animals and birds. At the top of Corcovado, at an altitude of 700 m above sea level, stands the symbol of Rio - Statue of Christ the Savior (38m), which was built in 1931. A breathtaking panoramic view of the metropolis and its environs Bridge Niteroi, Guanabara Bay, the Botanical Garden, the world''s largest Maracana stadium, Sugar Loaf, and more is possible from the top of Corcovado.
After breakfast you will be picked up to have a transfer to the airport to take your flight to the Iguacu Waterfalls. Pick up at the airport & transfer to hotel. Tour to Brazilian side of the waterfalls with English speaking guide.
The IguaÃ§u Falls are one of the greatest natural wonders of earth and on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The falls are located on the one spot where Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay meet. The area consists of 275 different falls including the highest fall which is called the â€œDevil''s Throatâ€, as it reaches 70m, which is 1,5x the height of the Niagara Falls. It is definitely one of the most beautiful places on our planet and it will take your breath away - Words just can''t describe the feeling you have standing there right in front of the falls watching tons of water falling down from an amazing height!
After breakfast, an English-speaking guide will pick you up at the hotel for another great adventure in Iguacu â€“ this time you will visit the Argentine side of the National Park, which is different from the Brazilian one! You will walk on paths through the falls which give you the opportunity to have a look under the falls. You feel the strength of the falling water from up close and enjoy the 55.500 hectares Natural Park surrounding this spectacular beauty! Inside the park you will take the train to see the marvelous Devils Throat again. You will stand directly above the falling water and admire the strength of this natural phenomenon!
After breakfast you have a transfer to the airport to take your flight to Rio de Janeiro from where you take your departure flight.
