The journey begins in Bangkok, a bustling city with a mixture of stunning temples, views that take your breath away and modern aspect that will rival any large city. Your own private guide will escort you to the most highlighted sites such as the Temple of Dawn, located on the Chao Phraya River and the Royal Palace, the current residence of the King.... Fly to the relaxing and friendly city of Chiang Mai, located northern Thailand, which is surrounded by serene mountains and lush fields of terraced rice paddies. Browse colourful night markets specializing in local handicrafts, paper umbrellas, and beautiful silk weavings. Visit revered mountaintop temples, the royal family’s Winter Palace, an elephant camp, and local hill tribe villages or perhaps pamper yourself with a Traditional Thai massage and scrumptious Thai meal....
When you arrive at the international airport of Bangkok, you will be welcomed by our Travel Thailand guide and private transfer to your hotel in the center of the city.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will start the half day tour in Bangkok. The first visit is The Grand Palace, which is the official Palace of The King Of Siam since 1782, made up of numerous buildings, halls, pavilions set around open lawns, gardens and courtyards. It is located on the bank of Chao Phraya River. Inside the Grand Palace complex is Wat Phra Kaeo or Temple of the Emerald Buddha – the most beautiful and sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand. The following visit is Wat Pho – the temple of reclining Buddha. The temple has a long list of credits: The oldest and largest temple in Bangkok, the longest reclining Buddha and the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand, the first public education institution. Then cross Chao Phraya River by ferry to Thon Buri to visit Wat Arun which is known as Temple of Dawn – one of the best well-known sites in Bankok. It is best seen from the opposite side of the river. After visiting this Wat, back to your hotel. Free and relax. Meals: Breakfast Accommodation: Hotel in Bangkok • Photography is permitted in the Royal Palace Grounds and in the compounds of the Emerald Buddha Temple, but not inside the buildings. Please dress respectfully (no bare shoulders, knees or strapless-heel shoes). Shoes must be removed before entering the temple buildings as a matter of respect. The Palace may be closed without prior notice during Royal ceremonies and when officials or head of state visit.
This interesting half day tour takes you to the rural yet world-famous floating market of Damnoen Saduak, situated to the west of Bangkok. It''s generally known as Klong Ton Khem Floating Market or Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Damnoen Saduak has officially three floating markets. A narrow canal flanked with food stalls and souvenir shops form the principal market at Ton Kem. Photographers at Ton Kem will get their best shots from the bridge, which crosses over the canal, and from the produce shed on the right. Nowadays, the market is bustling with activity from very early in the morning until about 11.00 am. For those who want to buy some memorabilia here, be mindful that you should bargain. Back to Bangkok. The remainder of the day is free for your own activities.
Take transfer to the airport for the morning flight to Chiang Mai, the old capital of Lanna Kingdom. On arrival, you will be met by your Travel Thailand tour guide & driver & transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, drive to Wat Phrathad Doi Suthep, which is the most sacred temple in Northern Thailand, containing a holy relic of Lord Buddha, with a challenging flight of over 300 steps, flanked by enormous mythological Nagas. A panoramic view of the city can be seen from here as well as Sunset in evening and listen to the Buddhist monk chanting.
Breakfast shall be served at the hotel and then we will visit one of the popular Elephants Camp, where you can see the Elephants at work. You have a chance to ride the elephants crossing the river into the forest. Then return by Oxcart to the elephant village to have lunch. After lunch, enjoy a bamboo rafting adventure along the river for around 45 minutes. Onwards to an orchid farm where there are many beautiful species of orchid. And after that going back to the hotel and free at leisure.
Today you will go to a Lanna style school located in a countryside village, just 15 minutes from the city of Chiang Mai. The school offers lessons on how to cook delicious Thai food, Thai sweets, fruit carving, and presentation. When cooking Thai food, various local spices that enhance your health and physical well-being are used as ingredients. It is the ideal school to learn how to cook Thai food to preserve it for generations to come. The atmosphere surrounding the school is filled with warmth, sympathy, and helpfulness, all representing ancient, traditional Lanna custom and culture.
Today you are free until it is time for your Travel Thailand driver to take you to the airport for your flight home, or to your next destination. Bon Voyage!
