TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1 Istanbul to Cappadocia and Cappadocia Tour
Early morning pick up from the hotel and Transfer from Istanbul domestic airport for domestic flight to Cappadocia. We shall start our Cappadocia tour including Göreme Open Air Museum, Dervent Valley, Pasabag Valley. After lunch, we will make a shopping tour in which you will be aware of the ancient arts of Turkey like carpet weaving, leather manufacturing and jewellery. As this will be a guided tour, you will avoid being hassled which will enable you enjoy the shopping experience whilst gaining the knowledge of the ancient craftsmen. Free evening! Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 2 Cappadocia Tour  and Fly back to Istanbul
Cappadocia Tour
After breakfast we head to one of the most interesting sites of Cappadocia: Kaymakli Underground City. The Christians hid from the armies of Rome and the raids of hostile tribes in these self sufficient cities in which there were halls for stocks of crop, barns, rooms, kitchens & ventilation channels. The second part of our Cappadocia Tour will include Uçhisar Castle, Avcilar, and Pigeon Valley.  Over Night in Cappadocia.

Day 3 Cappadocia - Adiyaman - Kahta
Early departure from Cappadocia for Adiyaman . After 1.5 hours drive, visit the Seljuk Karatayhan Caravanserai on the famous Silk Road. Then drive through the Taurus Mountains, affording you the opportunity to observe the countryside and everyday life of rural Turkey, which is completely different from that in the coastal resorts. After lunch in the Tekir Forest, tour heads towards Kahramanmaras, which is famous for its ice cream, arriving in Kahta in the late afternoon. We have dinner at the Ataturk Dam and stay overnight in Kahta.

Day 4 Mount Nemrut - Sanliurfa - Harran
 An early start to watch the sun rise on spectacular Mount Nemrut, the stunning setting for the huge stone heads, all that remains of the statues in the Commagene Temple. In this area you will also visit the capital of the Commagene Kingdom, Arsemia; a tumulus on Karakus Hill and Cendere Bridge, before heading on to Sanliurfa  You arrive at Urfa at noon and have lunch before visiting Harran, the famed city of Mesopotamia, a mystical and ancient village of ’bee hive’ houses built of mud bricks which is mentioned in Genesis as being a place where Abraham lived. At the same site you will visit the world’s first Islamic University. Also visit the birthplace of the prophet Abraham With it’s mosques, Abraham’s birth cave and its beautiful gardens. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Harran.
PS-The hike to Mount Nemrut consists of 20-40 minute walk up a 1:3 hill , mostly with steps.

Day 5 Return to Cappadocia
Return to Cappadocia via a different route, watching the rare Hermit Ibis (Kelaynak), which is in immediate danger of extinction on the way in Birecik.

Day 6 Cappadocia to Istanbul
After breakfast we depart for Kayseri Airport for our domestic flight to Istanbul. Transfer from airport to your hotel.
