12 Day Winter Ski Holiday Uludag and Cappadocia Turkey

Day 1 Saturday - Istanbul
Welcome to Turkey! Arrive into Istanbul. Transfer from airport & check in to your hotel. Tonight you will have a welcome dinner, be introduced to our friendly crew and other travellers while enjoying traditional Turkish Food and enjoy the mystical atmosphere of Istanbul at night.

Day 2 Sunday – Istanbul
After breakfast we depart for Istanbul City Tour. Visiting Sultanahmet imperial Mosque across from St. Sophia built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet, also known as the Blue Mosque because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles.  The Ancient Hippodrome, the scene of chariot races, with the three monuments; the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine. TOPKAPI PALACE The great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries housing an exquisite collection of crystal, silver, and Chinese porcelain, robes worn by the sultans and their families, famous jewels of the Imperial Treasury, miniatures, the Holy Mantle; and relics of the Prophet Mohammed. Day 3 Monday – Transfer to Uludag / Skiing
After breakfast we transfer to the ski fields of Uludag for the next few days skiing,

Day 4 Tuesday – Free day skiing
Free Day. Skiing!! Explore Uludag Mountain range or explore the city, shopping in the local markets at the end of the day why not relax with a Turkish bath.

Day 5 Wednesday  – Free day skiing
Free Day. Skiing!! Explore Uludag Mountain range or explore the city, shopping in the local markets at the end of the day why not relax with a Turkish bath.

Day 6 Thursday - Uludag Free Day Skiing
Free Day. Skiing!! Explore Uludag Mountain range or explore the city, shopping in the local markets at the end of the day why not relax with a Turkish bath.

Day 7- Friday, Uludag Kusadasi
After breakfast we depart for Kusadasi stopping along the way for lunch. On arrival we check into your Kusadasi Hotel and the rest of the day is yours.. You can explore any one of the numerous sandy beaches Kusadasi has to offer or visit the many attractive shops, cafes and restaurants which line the palm-lined boulevards around the port. Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 8- Saturday, Ephesus
We depart at 09:00 and we visit ‘one of the best-preserved ruins in the world' Ephesus. We tour this amazing site and wonder about the people who built and walked through this ancient city. We will also visit the House of Virgin Mary (supposedly where St. John brought her to live out her final days). After the tour, we will visit a carpet-weaving centre, which belongs to the national arts of Turkey.  Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 9- Sunday, Pamukkale - Cappadocia
We depart at 08:30 for Pamukkale. On the way we will visit one of the famous leather production centres of the region. We then arrive at Pamukkale for lunch. Afterwards we shall visit the calcium terraces of Pamukkale (cotton castle) and the ruins of Hierapolis, then walk around this natural phenomenon and have the option of lying in the waters of the natural springs. Free afternoon until 6pm when we dapart for overnight bus journey to Cappadocia.

Day 10- Monday, Cappadocia
Early check in to Hotel, allowing you to freshen up. Today we will get to know the Cappadocia region, a volcanic area in which the geological formation started 10 million years ago. As a result of these formations phallic like pillars have come to life. The beautiful horse country "Katpatuka," (as the Persians called her) is an unbelievable strip of land, enchanting and mysterious. Our guided tour will start at 09:30 and cover Avcilar, Pigeon Valley , Göreme Open Air Museum , Dervent Valley , Uçhisar Castle and the pottery village of Avanos . If you want to join our optional activity of Ballooning, please contact your guide and register because it will take place early the next morning. Over night in Cappadocia.

Day 11- Tuesday Cappadocia
We depart at 09:30 for one of the most interesting sites of Cappadocia - Derinkuyu Underground City. The Christians hid from the armies of Rome and the raids of hostile tribes in these self sufficient cities in which there were halls for stocks of crop, barns, rooms, kitchens & ventilation channels. This afternoon we will depart for Istanbul by aeroplane (included in the cost of tour) on the way we will stop for lunch. Overnight Istanbul

Day 12 Wednesday Cappadocia – Istanbul
