10 DAYS NEMRUT SUBHAN ARARAT TREKKING TOUR ITINERARY:

Day 1 - Van - Arrival Day
(Dinner included)
You will be met at Van airport by our staff before departing for your sightseeing around Van, including Van Castle and an old Armenian Ahtamar church. Check into your hotel for Dinner with your guide and other members of your group. Overnight in Van.

Day 2 - Mount Nemrut
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Start trek - firstly we visit Mount Nemrut - 2,600m - and have a swim in the high altitude volcanic lake- and explore the sights of Mount Nemrut. Camp overnight at Mount Nemrut.

Day 3 - Mount Suphan
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Head to Mount Suphan and set up camp at around 3,000m. The camping area is used by the nomadic people to graze their sheep and goats. Camp overnight at Mount Suphan.

Day 4 - Mount Suphan
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Ascend Mount Suphan - 4434m and marvel at the spectacular view of Lake Van and the surrounding mountains. Camp overnight at Mount Suphan.

Day 5 - Mount Nemrut - Dogubeyazit
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Drive to Dogubuyazit on the way visit a Waterfall of Muradiye. Dinner and overnight at Dogubeyazit.

Day 6 - Dogubeyazit - Mount Ararat
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Go to Mount Ararat by truck 2000m. On the way you will see some small Kurdish villages/
Our first overnight camp here is at 3,200 - Green camp. On the way up to green camp you can observe some of the nomadic people who live on the mountain. In the summer months the local people herd their sheep and goats in the rugged terrain of Mount Ararat. We can also arrange for you to visit the nomadic people and experience their way of life. Camp overnight at Mount Ararat.

Day 7 - Mount Ararat
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Trek to 4,200 to the beach camp - the highest beach camp in the world. Today will also be an important day for you to acclimatize before we head to the peak. Camp overnight at Mount Ararat.

Day 8 - Mount Ararat - Dogubeyazit
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Summit day - 5,165m.Early in the morning we will being our ascent to the peak. You will have plenty of time to explore the peak before we return to green camp - 3,200m. Return back to a warm hotel and a hot shower in Dogubuyazit. Overnight in Dogubeyazit.

Day 9 - Dogubeyazit
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Today we will visit the Dogubeyazit Ishak pasha palace and ark of Noah. There is also an opportunity to take an optional visit to the hot springs of Diyadin. Overnight in Dogubeyazit.

Day 10 - Dogubeyazit - Van - End of Tour

We highly recommend you bring the following personal equipment: Cold weather gear – such as good quality hat, gloves, waterproofs, water bottle, headlamp, walking or climbing boots, sunglasses, sleeping bag, rucksack and daypack, walking stick, climbing crampons and ice axe. Please note that we can arrange for you to rent the necessary equipment if you need.

The Turkish government requires a climbing permit for Mount Ararat. Arrangements can take two months to complete.
