7 DAYS ERZURUM & MOUNT KACKAR TREKKING TOUR ITINERARY:

Day 1 - Erzurum - Arrival Day
(Dinner included)
Upon arrival at the airport in Erzurum, meet with our team and transfer to Yusufeli Barhal (Altyparmak) Village. Here you will have dinner with your fellow trekkers and meet your guide. Dinner and overnight at pension in Yusufeli. 

Day 2 - Barhal - Mount Kackar - Yaylalar
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
After breakfast, we will depart for our walk from Barhal to Yaylalar, a small village at the foothills of Mount Kackar. The area is known for its beautiful streams, flora and fauna. In the afternoon, warm-up trek in Korahmet Valley, where the Bulut Mountains dominates the view ahead. There is an opportunity to meet with the local villagers. Tonight we will stay overnight in Yaylalar - you can choose to stay at the pension or you can camp on the hills at an average altitude of 3000m.

Day 3 - Uzumlu - Modut Valley
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
After breakfast, we begin our trek to Modut Valley, one of the best treks in Kackar Mountains. This trek is not very challenging but the scenery makes you glad to be in Kackar. Return to Yaylalar. Dinner and overnight at pension.

Day 4 - Yaylalar - Dilberduzu 
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Today we trek up to Dilberduzu via high mountain pastures following the stream which comes from the glaciers. During the trek we may encounter the villagers that live here during the summer to graze their flocks. Dilberduzu campsite (2900m) is a flat meadow by the stream surrounded by steep hills. Overnight camp at Dilberduzu.

Day 5 - Mount Kackar - Summit Day (3937 m) 
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Today we will ascend Kachkar summit (3917m) - this takes around 5-6 hrs and involves some walking on snow but very little actual climbing. After breakfast, we have an early start departing for the Mount Kackar Summit. An easy but demanding ascent over rock and scree without any technical difficulties. The view from the summit above the clouds is simply stunning with views over the whole Kackar range, and beyond to the Caucaus. On a clear day, you may have chance to see the legendary Mount Ararat. After a short break on the summit, return to our Dilberduzu campsite. If you do not wish to participate in the summit ascent, there are many day trips that you can do instead. There are many stunning lakes in the area for swimming opportunities. Overnight camp at Dilberduzu.

Day 6 - Dilberduzu - Yusufeli
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Today we will trek back down to Barhal Yaylalar (Altyparmak) Village before transferring to Yusufeli. The delicious local cuisine and a hot shower await you. Dinner and overnight at pension in Yusufeli.

Day 7 - Barhal - Erzurum - End of Tour
(Breakfast included)
Visit Barhal and Oshk Venk Churches before you tour finishes. After tour, transfer to Erzurum Airport for departure.
