17 DAYS VIETNAM EXPLORER TOUR ITINERARY:
Day 1 - Ho Chi Minh City - Arrival Day
(Dinner included)
Welcome to Vietnam! Upon arrival at in Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City,
you will meet with our tour-guide and shall start our city tour, including Notre
Dame Cathedral, built by the French in early 1880s, it is another of the
fingerprints the French left in the city of Saigon. The building, that stands in
the center of Saigon, was built at the end of the 19th century. Inside you can
admire typical french stained glass windows.
Post Office is the building was constructed when Vietnam was part of French
Indochina in the early 20th century. It has a Gothic architectural style. It was
designed and constructed by the famous architect Gustave Eiffel in harmony with
the surrounding area.
The Opera House is as known as the Saigon Opera House, this wonderful example of
French colonial architecture lies in the heart of the citys District 1 area,
surrounded by new shopping plazas and posh hotels. Built in 1897 by French
architect Ferret Eugene, the 800 seat building was used as the home of the Lower
House assembly of South Vietnam after 1956. And we will visit the City Hall,
China Town. We will have a stop at Thien Hau temple dedicated to the Goddess of
the sea. At the end of the tour, transfer and check in to your hotel. Dinner and
overnight at Ho Chi Ming City
Day 2 - Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi tunnel
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Morning depart for Cu Chi Tunnel which is well-known during the war in Vietnam
as the headquarter of VC in 1960s-1970s. The tunnel is a very complicated
underground network and over 250 km long consist of living bunker, fighting
bunker, meeting room function and special kitchen room and has 3 levels in which
the third level was used as the bomb shelter.
After we will back to Ho Chi Ming City, in the afternoon Murtis Tour will lead
you to visit The War Remnants Museum which is primarily contains exhibits
relating to the American phase of the Vietnam War. The museum comprises a series
of eight themed rooms in several buildings, with period military equipment
located within a walled yard.
Also we will visit The Reunification Palace which is formerly known as
Independence Palace, built on the site of the former Norodom Palace, is a
landmark in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It was designed by architect Ngo Viet Thu
and was the home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the
Vietnam War. It was the site of the end of the Vietnam War during the Fall of
Saigon on April 30, 1975, when a North Vietnamese Army tank crashed through its
Gates. At the end of the tour, transfer back to your hotel. Dinner and overnight
at Ho Chi Ming City.
Day 3 - Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh Long - Can Tho

This morning after pick you up from your hotel, we will depart for Mekong region
which is a region with abundant of fish and agriculture products. Then we will
arrive Cai Be floating market for our boat trip. Our journey will stop at family
- run enterprise making pop rice and rice paper, visit bonsai garden, fruit
garden, and fruit nursery where lunch also will be served with local specialty
deep fried elephants ear fish
Then we will cruise to Vinh Long town, then we will drive about two hours to Can
Tho City. It is a city where is famous for its floating markets, Cai Rang and
Phung Hiep, where people sell and buy things on the river, its bird gardens (B?ng
Lang), and Ninh Kieu port. The city offers a wide range of tropical fruits such
as pomelo, longan, jackfruit, mango and durian. Upon arrival, transfer and check
in to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Can Tho City.
Day 4 - Can Tho - Cai Rang floating Market - Ho Chi Minh City
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Today we will back to Ho Chi Minh City, before that we will take the boat cruise
to Cai Rang floating market in the morning where the local people are purchasing
their farm products on little sampans to those of trading boats, also where you
and yourself have a good experience by touching their daily life the Mekong
lifestyle and interacting with them. Then Murtis Tour will accompany you to
visit the land market. The boat leads to the small canal to visit the fruit
gardens.
Then we will back to hotel for checking out and we will head to Ho Chi Minh City
afterwards. Our lunch will be served in a local restaurant during our journey.
Upon arrival, transfer and check in to your hotel. The rest of the day is
leisure. Dinner and overnight at Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 5 - Ho Chi Minh City - Quang Ngai - Hoi An
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
This morning pick up from your hotel and transfer to airport for your morning
flight to Quang Ngai for visiting Son My Massacre where over 500 local people
were killed in 1968 during Vietnam War, at the time many of the victims were
sexually abused, beaten, tortured and some of the bodies were found mutilated.
Then we will depart for Hoi An. Hoi An is known to the French and Spanish as
Faifo, where there were a lot of Chinese Ethnic living together with the
Japanese and Vietnamese, In 1999, the old town was declared a World Heritage
Site by UNESCO as a well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port of
the 15th to 19th centuries, with buildings that display a unique blend of local
and foreign influences. On arrival take the orientation tour of the town. At the
end, transfer and check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Hoi An.
Day 6 - Hoi An
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
This morning after pick up from your hotel, we shall start our tour in Hoi An
City. We will visit Phuc Kien Communal House, this handsome structure built in
the middle of the 18th century has been restored painstakingly over the years.
It is used by a particular Phuc Kien community of Chinese origin for their
meetings and events. It also hosts various religious functions.
Tan Ky Old House is another example of typical shop houses that existed in the
19th century. These were used to conduct business transactions, for meeting and
appeasing potential clients and various other activities. Located in the Nguyen
Thai Hoc Street, this house has four different sections pertaining to welcoming
guests, trading, sleeping and worshipping deities. Each section has a separate
entrance opening into a street so that no disturbance was caused to the others
in the house.
Murtis Tour will lead you to visit Japanese covered Bridge. The bridge was
constructed in the early 1600s by the Japanese community, roughly 40 years
before they left the city to return to Japan under the strict policy of sakoku
enforced by the Tokugawa Shogunate, and renovated in 1986. Today, its the symbol
of Hoi An.
At last, we will visit Phung Hung Ancient Trading House. It is a traditional
two-story wooden house, inhabited over 100 years by eight generations; and the
current one attempts to guide you around in hope of a tip.
At the end of the tour, transfer and check in to your hotel. In the late
afternoon, you can join our optional bike tour to Cua Dai Beach which is around
5km from the central city. Dinner and overnight at Hoi An.
Day 7 - Hoi An - Hue
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
After enjoy your breakfast in the hotel, TravelShop Turkey will pick you up and
we will depart for Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam from 1802 to 1945 under
the Nguyen Dynasty.
During our journey, we will have a stop at Lang Co beach for a short, our lunch
will be served in Hue when we arrive. Late afternoon we will visit the ancient
Citadel by visiting the Imperial City where is s a walled fortress and palace in
the former capital of Vietnam and Royal Enclosure which was built in the style
of the French military architect Vau Ban in combination with an Oriental palace
architecture. The city has three perimeters of rampart: the defensive fort, the
Imperial Enclosure and the forbidden Purple City. At the end transfer back to
your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Hue
Day 8 - Hue - Quang Tri - Hue
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Today we will depart for Quang Tri where used to be the border province when
Vietnam was divided into tow parts, the Northern part was occupied by Communist
and the Southern one was Capitalist in 1954.
Murtis Tour will lead you to visit Vinh Moc Tunnel. During the Vietnam War it
was strategically located on the border of North Vietnam and South Vietnam. The
tunnels were built to shelter people from the intense bombing of Son Trung and
Son Ha communes in Vinh Linh county of Quang Tri Province in the Vietnamese
Demilitarized Zone.
Then we will passing Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai River, which were the natural
border between North and South. Afternoon go back to the South for visiting Khe
Sanh American Military Base, Dakrong Suspension Bridge, Ho Chi Minh Trail. At
the end of the tour, drive back to Hue and transfer to your hotel. Dinner and
overnight in Hue.
Day 9 - Hue

Today we will take the boat trip to Linh Mu Pagoda, the oldest one in town and
was very famous during Vietnam war in 1960s, the home of the Cremated Buddhist
Monk Thich Quang Duc. Then we will visit the Emperors tomb of Tu Duc which is
located in a narrow valley in Duong Xuan Thuong village (currently Thuong Ba
village, Thuy Xuan Commune, Hue City). It is one of the most beautiful works of
royal architecture of the Nguyen dynasty. Before we depart for Dong Hoi, we will
visit Khai Dinh who was the 12th Emperor of the Nguy?n Dynasty in Vietnam.
In the late afternoon visit Dong Ba market. Here you can see what people eat on
a daily basis. In Vietnamese markets you will also find stalls that sell the
local dishes. And you will see conic hats are widely used. They use these
typical hats to protect their faces from the sun. Tanned skins are a symbol of
low class.
At the end, drive back to Hue and transfer back to your hotel. Dinner and
overnight in Hue.
Day 10 - Hue - Ha Noi

This morning transfer to the airport for your fligh tto Ha Noi. Upon arrival,
meet with our staff and shall start our orientation tour of the town.
In the afternoon we will visit The Vietnam National Museum of Fine Arts which is
a museum showcasing Vietnams fine arts from every historical period; The
National Museum of Vietnamese History which showcasing Vietnams history with
very large displays covering every period. It is housed in a colonial French
building which was completed in 1932. At the end of the tour, transfer and check
in to your hotel. The rest of day is leisure. Dinner and overnight in Ha Noi
Day 11 - Ha Noi - Ha Long

After breakfast, pick up from your hotel and shall start our morning city tour
in Ha Noi, the highlights will be Ho Chi Minh‘s Mausoleum and his living
complex. it is a large memorial to the Vietnamese leader in Hanoi (opened from
December to September, on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and at weekend)
One Pillar Pagoda is a historic Buddhist temple Ho Chi Minh Museum. And we will
visit to Temple of Literature which is a temple of Confucius in Vietnam and it
nearly 1, 000 years old already! It is also the most prominent and famous is
that situated in the city of Hanoi. At last, we will visit Hoan Kiem Lake before
our lunch break. Hoan Kiem Lake is one of the major scenic spots in the city and
serves as a focal point for its public life
Then we will depart for Ha Long. During our journey, we will stop at Dong Trieu
ceramics and pottery village, it is a place that sells all kinds of ceramics,
embroidery and marble statues. It makes for a fantastic visit to get an insight
into the handcrafted process that Vietnamese craftspeople put into creating
these works.
In the late afternoon, we will arrive Ha Long. Ha Long city is the World Natural
Heritage with over 3000 limestone islands and islets scattering an area of 1500
sqkm in Tonkin Bay Upon arrival, transfer and check in to your hotel. Dinner and
overnight at Ha Long.
Day 12 - Ha Long - Ha Noi
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
This morning we will join the boat cruise to explore the Ha Long Bay with
visiting some grottoes such as Dau go, Thien Cung. You will have pleasure time
on boat while the captain and his sailors are preparing our seafood lunch.
We will disembark the boat after enjoy our lunch. Afterwards, we will returning
Ha Noi. Upon arrival, transfer and check in to your hotel. The rest of day is
leisure. Dinner and overnight in Ha Noi
Day 13 - Ha Noi - Hoa Lu - Ha Noi - Sa Pa
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Morning depart for Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam where Dinh and Le
Dynasty are still worshipped by the local people to dedicate to Dinh Tien Hoang
and Le Dai Hanh Emperors.
Then visit Bich Dong Cave, where the Buddhist Temples are occupied, if you want
you can climbing up to the top of this mount. After our lunch break at a local
restaurant, we will take sampan to Tam Coc Caves which is the scenery of which
is called Halong Bay inland. In the late afternoon we will return to Ha Noi.
After dinner, you will be transferred to Ha noi railway station for the night
train to Sapa. Tonight we will on train which is an air-con equipped compartment
of 4 persons
Day 14 - Sa Pa
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Early morning arrive Sa Pa, upon arrive and meet with our local staff, we shall
start our morning walking tour of Sa Pa visits the busy market where Red Dao,
Black Hmong and other ethnics from surrounding countryside to sell their
embroidery, silverware and handicraft and to buy provision. It is always crowded
and joyful, attracting hundreds of visitors. This is the common place for
minority groups to gather and exchange goods.
In the afternoon, Murtis Tour will lead you to visit nearby hill tribe villages
such as Cat Cat which is an age-old village of HMong ethnic group retaining
unique customs and practices; Cau May, and Tapin. At the end, transfer and check
in to your hotel. Overnight at Sapa.
Day 15 - Sa Pa - Ha Noi
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Before we back to Ha Noi today, Murtis Tour will have light trekking or mountain
bike riding to explore some hill tribes surrounding area of Sa Pa with you. In
the late afternoon transfer to Lao Cai railway station for the night train to Ha
Noi. Tonight we will on train which is an air-con equipped compartment of 4
persons.
Day 16 - Ha Noi
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Today is leisure, you need not to wake up early. Walking around the city by
yourself or you can join our optional tour to watching local people do Tai Chi
in the park or Hoan Kiem lake. Overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 17 - Hoi Noi - End of Tour
(Breakfast included)
After breakfast, check out from your hotel. Regarding your flight departure
time, we will transfer to the airport for your international flight back home.
